The Devils Youth Foundation this week launched its Youth Ambassadors Program.

The announcement continues a run of recent exciting news for the nonprofit organization. The group aims to enrich the lives of New Jersey youth. It creates opportunities and inspires children through the power of sports and entertainment. Last month, DYF revealed a record $1.1 million worth of grants to 30 recipients for the 2024-25 season.

The Youth Ambassadors Program was created in response to passionate, service-oriented New Jersey high school students who wanted to make a difference. The initiative offers these individuals the opportunity to learn and engage with the Foundation’s work through fundraising, volunteering, community service and more.

During the season, participants will work alongside staff as well as gain hands-on experience in fundraising events and the community. Youth ambassadors will complete a minimum of 35 hours of volunteer work with community partners while working toward a set goal.

“We are excited to launch the DYF Youth Ambassadors Program which will aim to guide the next generation of community leaders in New Jersey,” said Executive Director Kate Whitman Annis. “This new program enables New Jersey’s youth to live out the mission of helping their communities and gain invaluable experience to become passionate leaders in the future.”

The DYF notes proceeds from the program will support its future community initiatives and grant recipients.

Applications opened June 5 and will be accepted through Aug. 5.

The Youth Ambassadors Program will run annually from August until the end of the regular season. More information on the program is available here.
