Can you dig it? A South Jersey attraction that lets you live out your dreams of driving, riding and operating real construction equipment is expanding.
On Thursday, Diggerland USA in West Berlin said it will add new attractions to its outdoor waterpark, The Water Main, with a grand opening target of May 21, 2022.
The Water Main will double its pool capacity with a wave pool that generates crests of up to nearly 4 feet in varying patterns. Misting stations and water play elements will span the attraction’s zero-depth entrance, allowing guests to simply walk right in as far as their quest for adventure takes them.
A 24-foot-long crossing activity pool will provide the opportunity to walk on water while taking part in an obstacle course that will feature two parallel paths, floating theme pads, an overhead horizontal handhold grid, and a mid-course deluge from overhanging water cranes.
A doubling of poolside cabanas, expanded food options and a sweets-and-treats station will also afford new amenities at the destination.
Looking to the future, a 2023 expansion to The Water Main will add a 52-foot slide tower with three unique slides, Diggerland USA said.
The aquatic attraction already includes two pools, a slide tower, the Wibit-brand challenge course, a swim vortex, an in-pool basketball area, themed splash park and pool-side food and beverage service.
Admission to The Water Main is included with the purchase of Diggerland USA passes. Altogether, the attraction occupies 21 acres.
