DraftKings is marking the opening of its second office in 2019 with a location in Hudson County.
On Tuesday, the global sports technology and entertainment company announced a new 7,500-square-foot space in Hoboken which will support more than 50 employees and allow the company to expand its presence in the state.
The design of the new office includes Dashboards, Zoom Rooms and a television wall, taking cues from the 105,000-square-foot Boston headquarters the company opened in May.
DraftKings was the first-to-market mobile and online sportsbook launch in the Garden State last August. Since then, the DraftKings Sportsbook app has taken in more than 20 million bets, the company said, and paid out more than $500 million in winnings.
DraftKings also has a physical sportsbook at Resorts Casino & Hotel in Atlantic City.
“The first year of legalized sports betting in New Jersey exceeded all of our expectations and projections,” said DraftKings Chief Operating Officer and co-Founder Paul Liberman. “We’re looking forward to becoming a bigger part of the New Jersey tech scene as we grow our products, creating the best betting and daily fantasy experience in the market.”
