Dotcom Distribution, an Edison-based fulfillment and logistics services provider for e-commerce, has promoted its chief marketing officer to the new role of chief experience officer, it said recently. In his new position, JD Woods will oversee sales, transportation analytics, marketing and customer relations teams, helping the company better serve existing and prospective clients.
“JD is an extremely valuable asset to Dotcom,” CEO Maria Haggerty said in a prepared statement. “His extensive experience in and knowledge of the client relations and customer experience realms have played an integral role in the way that Dotcom operates. We look forward to seeing JD flourish in his new role and continue to bring his creative and strategic approach to Dotcom.”
Woods joined Dotcom in 2014, initially overseeing marketing as CMO, and eventually taking on supervision of the sales team as well. His experience includes positions with MediMedia Health, J. Knipper & Co. Inc. and Rust-Oleum.
“Working at Dotcom with brands such as AdoreMe, Birchbox and Vineyard Vines, we’ve focused our role on being a partner, rather than just a vendor, and have seen those companies grow beautifully as a result of that approach,” Woods said in a statement. “As Dotcom’s first chief experience officer, I’m excited to leverage past roles in client care and strategic account management and my knowledge of the space to continue delivering excellence to prospects and the marketplace at large, and convey that same commitment to clients.”
