Economic development council names Choose N.J. chief to board

Tracye McDaniel, president and CEO of Princeton-based Choose New Jersey, was elected by the nominating committee of the International Economic Development Council to serve on its board of directors for a two-year term.

Tracye McDaniel, president and CEO of Princeton-based Choose New Jersey, was elected by the nominating committee of the International Economic Development Council to serve on its board of directors for a two-year term.

In a statement, McDaniel, a longtime member of IEDC, said the organization has helped her “tap into incredible resources and industry intelligence. Now, as a board member, I’ll be able to gain even deeper insight from my peers to the benefit of New Jersey’s economic growth.”

McDaniel took the position with Choose New Jersey, the state’s business attraction and recruitment arm, in February. Prior to her Choose New Jersey post, she served in economic development, destination marketing, public relations, tourism and international business development in Texas.

The IEDC is dedicated to helping economic development professionals create high-quality jobs, develop vibrant communities and improve the quality of life in their regions. The organization has more than 4,500 members around the world.
