Edison paper products company acquires Bayonne firm’s assets

An Edison-based distributor of paper and plastic products has acquired the key assets of a Bayonne supplier of maintenance products, it announced recently.Liberty Paper & Janitorial Supply Company’s operations will be merged into Jersey Paper Plus’ Edison facility as a result of the transaction, Jersey Paper Plus said in a news release.

“We believe this acquisition will expand Jersey Paper Plus’ ability to service our existing customers and to provide the customers of Liberty Paper the quality of service for which Jersey Paper Plus has long been recognized as a leader in its field,” Steven Tabak, president of Jersey Paper Plus, said in a prepared statement. “Jersey Paper Plus has a long-standing commitment to its customers and its employees, and is excited to welcome both the customers and employees of Liberty Paper to the Jersey Paper Plus family.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
