PSE&G plans to invest $166 million over six years to help expand New Jersey’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure as the result of a settlement approved by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Jan. 27. PSE&G’s investment would be part of a larger program to install 40,000 residential EV chargers, 3,500 commercial chargers, and up to 1,500 Direct Current Fast Chargers, which can fill an EV battery to 80% within 15 minutes. Three-hundred of those fast chargers will be positioned within one mile of major highway exits.
