Englewood Health announced on Friday that it has increased its minimum wage to $15 an hour. The increase will be effective for eligible employees by the end of 2019.
The Englewood health system, the largest employer in the city of Englewood, is comprised of Englewood Hospital and the Englewood Health Physician Network,
“We are delighted to offer this significant increase to many of our valuable employees,” said Warren Geller, president and CEO of Englewood Health. “The decision to increase our minimum wage is a reflection of the important work that our frontline and support staff do for our patients and community every day and our commitment to being an employer of choice.”
Gov. Phil Murphy is expected to sign a statewide bill on Feb. 4 that will increase the minimum wage from $8.85 to $15 an hour for most workers by 2024.
