The daughter of the chief executive officer for essential oil manufacturer and aromatic chemical Berjé will be taking over his role, according to an Oct. 4 statement.
Kim Bleimann, the current CEO, will be replaced by his daughter Gillian Bleimann-Boucard, but will continue as board chair and head Berjé’s expansion into the European market.
Gillian, a Hoboken resident, has been with Berjé since 2007, and will head the family business “into the third generation,” the announcement reads.
Her previous work as their executive vice president – and as president of The Berjé Group’s Whole Herb Company – saw her in charge of the restructuring and expansion of the purchasing department, and the expansion of several international distribution agreements.
“My vision is to maintain and grow our global leadership position building upon our trusted personalized service and our diverse range of fragrance and flavor ingredients, botanicals, and fragrances from our unparalleled inventory,” she said in a prepared statement.
