Ethical Brands in Red Bank brings popular Swedish pea milk to US

Ethical Brands Inc. in Red Bank is bringing Swedish pea protein milk Sproud to the U.S. market.
Ethical Brands, which has the marketing and distributing rights for the U.S. and Canada, is launching the plant-based product in April.
Sproud will be launched with four varieties, including original, unsweetened, chocolate and a professional formula developed for and by baristas.
Pea protein milk production uses less water than traditional dairy or almond milk, according to the company. It contains no dairy, soy, nuts or gluten and is also non-GMO.
“The North American consumer response to the brand has been great and we are excited to be able to deliver them a more sustainable and planet-friendly product than other dairy alternative milks,” said Global Brand Director Maria Tegman in a statement.
Ethical Brands also distributes Explore Cuisine, which makes pasta out of beans.
