Former Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli has joined Price, Meese, Shulman and D’Arminio PC, the Woodcliff Lake-based law firm announced this week.Molinelli joins the firm after 14 years as prosecutor, as part of an expansion effort by Price Meese, according to a news release. The firm says it has added six attorneys since August to become one of the 100 largest practices in New Jersey.
“John Molinelli is joining our firm at the perfect time to respond to the increasingly sophisticated and legal needs of our clients,” Gail Price, president and one of the founding partners of the firm, said in a prepared statement. “Price Meese’s real-estate development and transactional practice services a broad spectrum of corporate and institutional clients. Having an attorney with John’s acumen in these areas will enhance our services to our expanding list of Fortune 500 clients.”
Molinelli’s tenure as prosecutor drew unexpected attention late last month, when he was notified by Gov. Chris Christie’s office that he would not be nominated to a third term. At a news conference a week later, Christie said the change was “long overdue,” though he declined to provide additional details about his reasoning.
Molinelli’s practice is expected to bolster the firm’s litigation services in six areas: electronic discovery, corporate compliance, digital investigations, internal investigations, law enforcement/government employee defense; and white-collar crime, the news release said.
Prior to serving as prosecutor, Molinelli was partner in private practices specializing in transactional law, land-use policy and litigation.
