The global tax and advisory firm EY has named its 2015 winners of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for New Jersey, it announced Friday.The 13 winners were honored Thursday night at a special gala at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, the firm said in a news release. The award honors entrepreneurs “who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities,” the firm said.
The winners are:
- Marc Ackerman, co-founder and chief operating officer, and Elliot Bohm, co-founder and CEO, CardCash.com, Brick;
- Ed Adams, CEO, Direct Travel, Paramus;
- Joseph Beneducci, chairman, CEO and president, ProSight Specialty Insurance, Morristown;
- Steven Dai, CEO and president, International Vitamin Corporation, Freehold;
- Dr. Jeffrey LeBenger, chairman and CEO, Summit Medical Group, Berkeley Heights;
- Brian Leuthner, CEO and president, Edge Therapeutics Inc., Berkeley Heights;
- Jamie Lima, co-founder and CEO, and Paulo Lima, co-founder and president, IT Cosmetics, Jersey City;
- Daniel O’Connor, CEO and president, Advaxis Inc., Princeton;
- Bharat Parikh, CEO, and Rina Parikh, president, AASKI Technology Inc., Ocean;
- Navneet Puri, CEO and president, InnoPharma Inc., Piscataway.
“EY has honored outstanding entrepreneurs for the past 29 years,” Brent Ashton, EY Entrepreneur of the Year program co-director for New Jersey, said in a prepared statement. “These business leaders are accomplished entrepreneurs who have contributed a tremendous amount to the community.”
Regional award winners are eligible to be considered for the national Entrepreneur of the Year award, EY said. The winner, plus honorees in other national categories, will be announced in November.
