Haworth-based fantasy sports company Hotbox Sports Ventures and the NHL’s New Jersey Devils have teamed up for a promotional partnership, the hockey team announced Wednesday.The Devils will promote HotboxSports.com, which is introducing a new style of fantasy sports game in late November, in the Prudential Center arena as well as through media and social channels, the team said in a news release.
“Fantasy sports plays an important role in a fan’s experience, and we wanted to bring Devils fans a game where they could focus on their favorite players and their favorite team,” Scott O’Neil, CEO of the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center, said in a prepared statement. “Our collaboration with Hotbox Sports, offering both free-to-play games and this first-of-its-kind entry-fee game, will ensure Devils fans have an unrivaled fantasy game experience.”
Hotbox Sports was founded in 2005, and has offices in New York, Massachusetts, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Spain, in addition to New Jersey.
