Fairleigh Dickinson University announced its fifth annual Veterans Launching Ventures program, a certificate program designed to aid veterans in entrepreneurial pursuits. The program is an extension of FDU’s Rothman Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the school’s Florham Campus. It is open to veterans from all branches of the armed services and also their spouses and children.
Lasting 10 weeks, the program is a hybrid of “in-person” instruction, including one-on-one mentoring, as well as online learning, all of which is tailored to inform veterans on the issues of starting their own businesses. Following the program, students are provided with an additional 10 months of “informal guidance” to the program’s mentors as they work towards their goals.
