Flavor and fragrance company Robertet announced Thursday that its fragrance and ingredient division has moved into a new headquarters in Mount Olive.Robertet consolidated two other facilities, offices in Oakland and a production center in Fairfield, into the new site, according to Jennifer Powderly, vice president of marketing in the U.S. She said the new, 115,000-square-foot site includes both offices and warehouse and production facilities.
“Our newly renovated, beautiful state-of–the-art innovation center has been completely transformed,” Christophe Maubert, global president, Fragrance Division, said in a prepared statement. “Our $20 million investment has greatly expanded our production capacity, enhanced our stability and sensory testing and increased our levels of automation. This investment will bring a new level of service to the changing needs of our clients and provide our perfumers with an array of new tools.”
About 150 people work at the new site, Powderly added, including several new hires.
“Some of (the hiring) was driven by the move, and some of it was driven by the fact that we’re taking a hard look at what we need to grow in the U.S. and beyond,” she said.
Robertet is a French company founded in 1850.
