Approximately 75 million pets in the U.S. may not have access to necessary veterinary care by 2030, in part due to a shortage of veterinarians, according to a study released in September by Banfield Pet Hospital. In the Garden State, preliminary data from the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association’s ongoing business survey just 17% of respondents thus far say they don’t need any more staff.
