Inspira Health has turned to a 30-year industry veteran to take on the role of senior vice president and chief financial officer.

The health care provider announced March 13 it appointed William (Bill) Pelino to assume the role, overseeing the fiscal operations of the nonprofit organization that has hospitals in Vineland, Mullica Hill and Elmer.

Pelino most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at CarePoint Health, whose facilities are Christ Hospital, Hoboken University Medical Center and Bayonne Medical Center.

Pelino will report to Amy Mansue, president and CEO of Inspira Health.

“Bill brings a vast amount of financial expertise and insight,” Mansue said in a statement. “He has been featured as an expert on population health initiatives and value-based reimbursement programs. I am confident that he will help further drive our strategic plan and help us meet our organization’s goals. Bill’s insights and contributions will support Inspira’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality care across our region.”

In addition to his four years with CarePoint, Pelino served in various financial leadership roles for about 10 years each at Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association (GRIPA), Paychex and PricewaterhouseCoopers, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“As a health care organization, it’s critical to ensure the resources are allocated to continuously improve the patient experience. I am looking forward to further solidifying Inspira’s position as a regional health care leader by optimizing their financial standing and identifying pathways for continued growth and success,” Pelino said.

Part of that recent growth includes major announcements from Inspira Health in the past few months, such as this month’s milestone for its $71 million Woodbury Campus redevelopment project and the addition of Salem Medical Center in December 2022.

A recipient of several industry awards, Pelino received his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.
