Frutta Bowls adds LTO items to its menu for the winter

Frutta Bowls, a smoothie and superfood chain founded in Freehold, is adding new, limited-time offerings to its menu for the winter.

In a Jan. 26 press release, the fast casual franchise announced the arrival of three featured items:

• Warm Apple Crisp Oatmeal Bowl – a warm oatmeal base topped with cinnamon granola, cinnamon apple, almond butter, honey and cinnamon
• Detox Smoothie – a blend of kale, pineapple, apple and chia seeds
• Bees Knees Toast – toast topped with apple, brie, honey and almond slices

According to Frutta Bowls, the items will be available through April 9.

Since 2016, Frutta Bowls – which offers customizable bowls, smoothies, toasts and protein bites – has grown to 39 locations across 16 states, including 14 shops in New Jersey.

In December 2020, it was acquired by WOWorks, the parent company to restaurant brands that also includes Saladworks, Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh The Simple Greek and Zoup! Eatery.

In a statement, Chief Brand Officer Lauriena Borstein said, “We are thrilled to offer this new oatmeal bowl to our guests. The Warm Apple Crisp Oatmeal Bowl is not only comforting, but it’s full of hearty ingredients and nutrients to get the day started right.”
