Employment attorney Erica Clifford and commercial litigator Maria Fruci have been promoted to counsel at Genova Burns LLC in Newark.
They were associates at the firm since January 2018 and September 2012, respectively.
Clifford is a member of the employment law and litigation and human resource counseling and compliance practice groups. She defends her clients, of both the private and public sector, against claims of discrimination, harassment, hostile work environment, and retaliation in state and federal court and before administrative agencies.
Additionally, she conducts workplace investigations and counsels HR executives and management on issues regarding employee discipline, terminations, reasonable accommodations and leaves of absence.
Fruci is a member of the complex commercial litigation, class action defense, intellectual property, and mediation and alternative dispute resolution practice groups. She represents public and private clients in complex commercial disputes, trademark protection and litigations, mediations and arbitrations from initial stages through trial and appeal.
On top of representing start-up companies, small businesses, entrepreneurs and large contractors, she also represents individual clients in matrimonial issues.
