Medical technology company Getinge launched its Experience Center in Wayne on Jan. 27 with a virtual event that included demonstrations of its latest advances in technology.
Officials including U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-11th District, and Wayne Mayor Christopher Vergano attended the event, which was streamed live on LinkedIn.
The Experience Center was designed to re-create hospital and other health care settings, such as operating rooms and intensive care units, to help hospitals drive efficiencies and improve outcomes for patients suffering health challenges including COVID-19, cardiovascular disease and other serious illnesses, according to Getinge. The livestreamed tour highlighted Getinge’s technology capabilities, including:
“We are very excited and proud to launch our Experience Center, which will be a center for learning and demonstrations with our newest and most advanced technologies that improve the delivery of health care services,” Eric Honroth, president of Getinge North America, said in a prepared statement. “The center will provide health care leaders with a truly hands-on experience with our technologies, demonstrating how our solutions can increase efficiencies and enhance the patient experience.”
Moving forward, the Getinge Experience Center will be a facility where customers can explore new products and solutions in a real-world setting to assess the impact these options can have on their facilities, the company said.
