Law firm Goetz Schenker Blee & Wiederhorn LLP announced Monday it will change its name to reflect the appointment of Steven Wiederhorn as senior partner.
Co-managing partner of the firm’s Livingston office, Wiederhorn joins the insurance defense firm’s founding partners, Marisa Goetz, Robert Schenker and David Blee, as a namesake member.
Goetz Schenker Blee & Widerhorn works with insurance companies and self-insured corporations across the country.
According to the firm, Widerhorn has more than 25 years of litigation experience and is responsible for account management of a number of nationwide, leading insurance carriers. His cases relate to areas of general negligence, product liability, consumer fraud, catastrophic fires, construction defects, civil rights litigation, employment law and the representation of public entities.
“Steven has been a firm partner since 2006, and brings many years of commitment to our clients and senior leadership team,” Schenker, who serves as managing partner of the firm’s New York City office, said in a prepared statement. “He is a highly regarded leader in the insurance defense legal arena, and we look forward to his continued contribution as an integral part of Goetz Schenker Blee & Wiederhorn.”
