Stacy Goodman is joining Prudential Financial Inc. to lead data, information, and digital and technology platforms for the company.

Goodman – BUSINESS WIRE

On Monday, Newark-based Prudential announced Goodman will serve as executive vice president and chief information officer, effective July 15.

In the new role, Goodman will serve as a member of the company’s executive leadership team and report to Vice Chair Robert Falzon. She succeeds Barbara Koster, who announced her retirement as CIO in December 2018.

According to Prudential, Goodman joins from Freddie Mac where she held the role of CIO, leading enterprise technology initiatives for the company and also serving on the senior operating committee. She has also held positions at CIT, Bank of America, UBS and Solomon Brothers, and served on the Financial Research Advisory Committee at the U.S. Department of Treasury Office.

“Technology is a critical advantage, and Stacey is a purpose-driven leader and experienced technologist who has successfully guided complex, global companies through transformation to become leaders in their fields,” Falzon said in a prepared statement. “Her ability to unlock business value, realize better outcomes for customers and streamline operations—while also accelerating growth—will support a differentiated capability for Prudential.”

“And, in her role on the executive leadership team, I look forward to Stacey’s contribution in bringing technology to the center of our engagement with our employees, customers and distribution partners,” Falzon added.
