Goodwill is expanding its footprint in Toms River to accommodate local demand.

Vantage Real Estate Services announced Jan. 9 Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia signed a long-term lease at Fischer Plaza. The deal will bring a new store for shopping – and donating – to a 19,766-square-foot space located at 1001 Fischer Blvd.

Goodwill is expected to debut in summer 2025.

Vantage Commercial President and CEO Leor Hemo worked closely with the nonprofit to identify and secure the prime position. Goodwill will occupy the endcap spot at the strip center.

Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia currently operates one standalone donation site in Toms River, according to Goodwill COO Michael Shaw. Additionally, it has a Career Opportunity center in Bayville, also in Ocean County.

Goodwill focuses on providing job training and career services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Its large-scale collection and resale of pre-loved items from Goodwill stores helps fund these programs.

Vantage Commercial highlighted that in addition to expanding its reach, the new Toms River Goodwill store underscores the organization’s commitment to providing essential community resources while contributing to local economic and environmental goals.

The Cherry Hill-based full-service CRE brokerage and advisory has previously helped Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia expand. In 2021, Vantage Commercial secured a 20,000-square-foot space in Hamilton Township for Goodwill.
