Grassi acquired 37-year-old firm Gramkow, Carnevale, Seifert & Co. on March 29, expanding its New Jersey practice to add four partners to firm leadership, the group announced on April 28.
Ted Carnevale, Francis Shovlin, Dino Rizzo and Bob Carpenter join the accounting firm as partner, with Carnevale appointed co-leader of the New Jersey Market.
The acquisition also brings on 25 staff members and, temporarily, an office at 2 Forest Ave. in Oradell until the team relocates to Grassi’s Park Ridge office later this year.
“As our clients continue to grow and evolve, joining a regional leader like Grassi was a natural choice in our ongoing mission to provide them with the expanded resources and services they need to succeed,” said GCS founder Carnevale.
Grassi Managing Partner Louis Grassi noted that the firm acquisition “not only deepens the pool of talent and experience we can provide but also demonstrates our unwavering commitment to the state’s business community and vital industries.”
Additionally, the acquisition increases Grassi’s service capabilities in key market sectors that GCS also served, including health care, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, professional services and nonprofit.i
