Anthony Gruppuso joined the litigation team as a partner at law firm Brown Moskowitz & Kallen PC in Summit, according to an Aug. 6 announcement.
Gruppuso focuses his practice on dispute resolution and litigation for clients including professional services firms, trustees, medical practices, limited liability company members, manufacturers and distributors, and high net worth individuals.
Gruppuso spent more than 20 years as a civil litigator before state and federal courts for large law firms and his own private practice.
He was among the senior attorneys representing the SIPA trustee for the estate of Bernard Madoff Investment Securities LLC in an adversary proceeding to avoid transfers and recover approximately $825 million from two foreign feeder funds, according to his hiring announcement. He also represented one of the state’s largest real estate developers in arbitration proceedings at which ownership of more than 100 commercial and residential properties was resolved.
“Anthony brings a multi-faceted legal skill set that is only attained through highly diverse representations,” said Managing Partner Stuart Brown. “His vast depth of experience will be invaluable in servicing our industry-agnostic client base.”
