The Hoboken City Planning Board approved a retail application from Harmony Dispensary, one of New Jersey’s original six Alternative Treatment Centers, on Aug. 4.
The dispensary at 95 Hudson St. is anticipated to open by year’s end. It will be Harmony’s second retail space in addition to its Secaucus headquarters.
“It’s been an intense process at both the state and Hoboken levels,” said Harmony Chief Executive Officer Shaya Brodchandel in a prepared statement. “But we’re grateful that we now have the opportunity to open our new dispensary in one of the most exciting cities on the east coast.”
The 5,000-square-foot facility is located near PATH trains, and therefore easily accessible for regional patients and those who pass through the city daily.
According to an announcement, the space will elevate the retail dispensary experience, balancing natural materials with an advanced retail workflow. Patients will enter the facility through a newly
planted, open-sky courtyard into a dispensary interior that layers in natural materials.
“Harmony’s Hoboken facility will look and feel like no other in the country,” said Brodchandel. “We take seriously our responsibility to provide relief to more patients and to share the health benefits of cannabis with a new community.”
