The latest addition to the Urby family will arrive this fall, according to a Sept. 27 announcement, when leasing officially launches for the new phase of Harrison Urby.
Located at 200 Angelo Cifelli Drive, the new Harrison Urby continues to build on the brand‘s transformative residential concept with 381 apartments, design elements and amenities that complement the host of amenities and spaces offered to current residents of the 679 units just across Angelo Cifelli Drive at 777 S. 3rd St.
“We’re looking forward to expanding Harrison Urby which has meaningfully connected with residents since we first opened our doors in 2017,” said David Barry, chief executive officer of Urby. “Demand for new modern living options in Harrison, New Jersey’s fastest growing municipality, is on the rise with more residents seeking apartments near the PATH as they return to the office and units with space to work remote when needed.”
Harrison Urby is one block from the Harrison PATH Station and just 20 minutes from lower Manhattan.
“The new building will meet that demand while continuing to provide lively social spaces to bring together our residents and the neighborhood,” Barry said.
Harrison Urby’s new building will offer a collection of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom layouts. Each apartment features large windows, built-in closets with drawers for storage, and sustainable flooring. A highlight of the collection of units will be a new studio apartment design that includes a built-in platform bed and wood-slat partitions to create more privacy while allowing ample, natural light in.
With smart technology systems, including keyless smart phone entry and Amazon package lockers, residents at Harrison Urby have unprecedented access to mobile connectivity.
Residents with flexible work schedules will be able to work from The Study, a space Urby is developing. Located adjacent to the community’s new all-day cafe, The Study will offer residents dedicated work areas that make it easy to grab a coffee and snack while prepping for their next big meeting.
Residents will also be able to take their hoops skills to the hardwood with the addition of a full-size basketball court within a new fitness center.
Urby will be home to the brand new, modern, European-inspired all-day cafe, Charley—a social space with a lively, yet relaxed atmosphere for coffee to cocktails and a menu featuring comfort foods like weiner schnitzel, burgers and apple strudel.
Designed by Amsterdam-based firm Concrete, Harrison Urby features a series of buildings that are connected by landscaped green spaces and walkways designed by Bureau Bas Smets.
Current Urby residents enjoy a community garden with individual vegetable garden plots, a heated swimming pool and patio, fire pits, BBQ grills, lounge furniture and lawn games. The pet-friendly community features Urby’s Woofgarden dog run; the Urby Kitchen, a rentable chef’s kitchen used to host food events; and a two-story 6,000-square-foot fitness center.
