Chicago law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP opened an office in Iselin, its first in the state and one of few in the Northeast region.
Ben Raindorf, Anthony Scali, Mitchell Zipkin and Robert Bailey join as partners in the firm’s consumer financial services practice according to an Aug. 26 announcement.
Kyle Stefanczyk as counsel, and Asha Abraham and Karena Straub are new associates.
Formerly with Parker Ibrahim & Berg LLP, the group brings experience with financial services litigation, commercial foreclosures, and a wide range of transactional matters.
“We are thrilled to have this highly skilled group of attorneys joining the firm as part of our strategic expansion in the Northeast,” said Ellen Silverman, co-partner in charge of the New Jersey office, in a prepared statement. “They bring additional depth to our litigation capabilities in the financial services sector, representing banks, mortgage companies, and student loan servicers, as well as significant experience with commercial real estate and financial services transactional work.”
Justin Penn, chair of the financial services practice, noted that the firm’s decision to open an office in Iselin makes strategic sense with its presence in New York, Rhode Island and Boston.
“Iselin’s location, at the convergence of four major highways and on the Amtrak Northeast corridor line, is geographically beneficial to many of our current clients and will provide expansive growth potential,” Penn said.
The Iselin office is located at 33 Wood Ave. S., Suite 600.
