Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck on Monday announced the appointment of Caryn Parlavecchio to chief human resources officer.
“Caryn is a passionate, strategic leader who will further cultivate Holy Name’s reputation as a ‘Best Place to Work’ and our exceptional track record in recruiting top talent,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Maron. “Her strong background in workplace cultural and organizational transformation will be critical to our future growth, especially given the complicated and rapidly changing healthcare industry and world.”
Prior to joining Holy Name, Parlavecchio served as vice president and global human resources head for Oncology and Pharma Development Units at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., where she held several successive leadership roles during her nearly 20-year tenure.
Before Novartis, Parlavecchio worked in human resources and communications at Honeywell International and Ingersoll-Rand.
“I am excited to partner with the executive team to deliver on a new HR strategy focused on talent, culture and operational excellence, and promise to listen, learn and contribute to delivering on the medical center’s mission,” said Parlavecchio. “I am also looking forward to learning about the frontlines of healthcare and leveraging my pharma experience to build on Holy Name’s legacy of being a trusted, reliable resource to the patients and communities we serve.”
