Home furnishings retailer Room & Board will open its first New Jersey showroom in the Paramus Design Center in late 2022 or early 2023, the company announced Nov. 15.
The 9,400-square-foot Paramus location will feature room settings meant to inspire, a design center with fabric and material samples, and personal service and complimentary design expertise.
Room & Board signed a 10-year lease with two 10-year renewal options with developer LPM Real Estate. The Paramus location expands the brand’s regional footprint, which includes a 48,000-square-foot flagship location in New York City’s Chelsea district.
“After searching for the right location in Northern New Jersey for several years, it’s exciting to secure a spot in the heart of the home furnishings area in Paramus. We are excited to introduce New Jersey to our incredible brand of American craftsmanship that we’ve built working with makers around the country,” said Regional Retail Market Manager Lee Testa in a prepared statement.
The Minneapolis-based furnishings and home décor store works with small manufacturers around the country.
“We are honored and proud to be part of the 11-year effort to bring Room & Board to the Paramus Design Center. The partnership and relationships that have developed over those years is both heartwarming and sincere in the complex world of commercial leasing. We are confident they will become the shining star of high-quality Home Furnishings to service our tri-state community at the PDC expansion project,” said Nicholas Laganella II, who executed the lease on behalf of the developer.
