The Woodcliff Lake-based company said in a news release that this order, for $400,000 worth of the systems, was placed by an unnamed manufacturer of machinery and heavy equipment. This is a new customer, I.D. Systems said.

“The addition of this multinational manufacturer to I.D. Systems’ customer base gives our wireless technology unprecedented penetration with the world’s most prominent heavy equipment makers,” Kenneth Ehrman, I.D. Systems’ chairman and CEO, said in the release. “We view this as an implicit endorsement of the high value that our VMS solutions provide in manufacturing operations.”
