I.D. Systems gets vehicle management systems order

I.D. Systems, Inc., announced Thursday that it has received a follow-on purchase order for approximately $300,000 worth of its vehicle management systems from an unnamed global manufacturer of heavy equipment.The Woodcliff Lake-based provider of asset management solutions said in a news release that the current customer will be deploying the PowerFleet VMS systems outside the U.S. for the first time. After they are deployed, the customer will have implemented PowerFleet in nine of its facilities, I.D. Systems said.

“Our multinational customers continue to expand their use of our industry-leading wireless VMS technology for managing their fleets of material handling equipment,” Kenneth Ehrman, I.D. Systems’ chairman and CEO, said in the release. “We have no doubt that VMS is being viewed as both a best practice and a competitive advantage among companies with global supply chains. We look forward to helping this customer further expand its deployments of I.D. Systems’ wireless solutions across its international operations.”
