Imperial Dade, a distributor of foodservice packaging supplies, industrial products and janitorial supplies, continues to expand its footprint across the country with two recent acquisitions.

The Jersey City-based company announced Sept. 5 that it added Supreme Paper Supplies, based in Pensacola, Fla., and Prime Paper & Packaging, headquartered in Downey, Calif. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The moves mark the 70th and 71st acquisitions under the leadership of Chairman Robert Tillis and CEO Jason Tillis, who took on their roles in 2007.

Founded by the Kelly family in 1985 and now owned by the North River Group, Supreme Paper Supplies is a distributor of foodservice and janitorial products throughout the greater Pensacola market.

“The Supreme team’s dedication and commitment over the last 38 years has built and sustained a great company. We are thankful to the Kelly family and the North River Group for investing in the resources to fuel our growth,” Supreme Paper Supplies President Ray Millet said in a statement. “Joining the Imperial Dade family will add the resources and support necessary to take Supreme to the next level.”

Owned and operated by the Farah family, Prime Paper & Packaging is a distributor of food service, industrial and janitorial products throughout Southern California.

Fred Farah, president of Prime Paper & Packaging, said his team was “humbled” to join Imperial Dade

“We share the same core values and focus on our employees and customers, and could think of no better fit,” Farah added.

Robert and Jason Tillis welcomed both teams to Imperial Dade.

“We are excited to begin our partnership in this next stage of growth and offer new and existing customers in the greater Pensacola region the same customer service and attention,” Robert Tillis said about Supreme.

Additionally, Robert Tillis called Prime “a great strategic fit” for the Garden State company, adding, “Their relentless focus on customer service aligns well with Imperial Dade.”

Founded in 1935, Imperial Dade serves more than 90,000 customers across North America. Earlier this year, the company made its first moves into the Hawaii and Dallas markets. Since then, it also acquired Atlantis Packaging of Chino, Calif.; Apache Group of Arden Hills, Minn.; and The Ohio & Michigan Paper Co. of Perrysburg, Ohio.
