They served their country, now they’re serving their stateindustry and communities. And NJBIZ wants to honor them with the recognition they deserve.

We, of course, are talking about military veterans who now lead in boardrooms, operating rooms, job sites and elsewhere across the Garden State.

NJBIZ is introducing the Veterans in Business Awards to honor these military veterans who are making a significant impact on New Jersey business as well as continuing to give back to their community.

“This inaugural awards program is just one way we can show our veterans our appreciation for not only how they served in uniform, but what they’re now accomplishing in the business world,” said NJBIZ General Manager AnnMarie Karczmitwho also oversees the publication’s events and awards.

NJBIZ Veterans in Business AwardsTo be eligible, the nominee:

  • Must be a former member of the U.S. military;
  • Must be currently employed or self-employed living and working in New Jersey;
  • May be self-nominated or nominated by another person;
  • Cannot be a member of the judging panel or a member of any judge’s immediate family;
  • Must be an owner, partner, president, chief executive officer, chief financial officer, chief operating officer, board chair or other senior-level executive or manager.

Winners of the Veterans in Business Awards will be recognized during a virtual awards ceremony in November and will also be highlighted in a publication that will be featured in a future issue of NJBIZ.
