Elizabeth Schenk has been named chief executive officer for Agency Network Exchange LLC.
On Tuesday, Monmouth Junction-based ANE announced both Schenk’s appointment and the promotion of Jocelyn Rineer to senior vice president.
The network of independent insurance agencies said the pair will collaborate in their new roles to develop and implement an aggressive growth strategy and market expansion.
Schenk succeeds John Tiene in the role of CEO, who left, the organization said, to pursue other opportunities. According to ANE, she brings significant knowledge of the industry to the new position, including distribution channels, markets, agency networks, and acquirers and investors.
Schenk comes to the role from Keystone Insurers Group where she served as vice president of sales and geographic expansion. During her time there, Schenk was responsible for expanding the company’s operations from six to 13 states, ANE said.
“This is an exciting time for ANE,” Schenk said in a prepared statement. “My focus will be growth and expansion of the company’s footprint, enhanced resources for ANE member agencies, increasing organic premium for our carriers and providing our employees the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Insurance is a relationship business and I look forward to implementing programs that will cultivate opportunities for all of our core stakeholders.”
Prior to her promotion, Rineer served as vice president – Field Operations. In the new role she will continue to lead in that area, while assuming additional leadership roles at the organization.
