On June 28, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. announced Kunal Wadhwani will serve as head for the entertainment company’s U.S. operations, based in Hoboken.
Wadhwani has been with the company for more than three years in multiple roles, including head of social media and digital marketing.
Prior to joining the company he served as director of media planning and buying for Everymedia Technology of Mumbai.
“Our entry into the U.S. with the launch of ShemarooMe has opened up massive opportunities, and this new role is our commitment to deliver Bollywood content across borders,” Hiren Gada, chief executive officer of Shemaroo, said in a prepared statement. “Kunal’s enterprising strength and innate understanding of the digital space will be a strong fit for the U.S. market.”
Video streaming service ShemarooMe launched in the U.S. this past April.
Shemaroo boasts a collection of more than 3,700 titles. With a brand that has been in existence for more than 50 years, the company offers content to services and content to customers in over 30 countries.
