Commercial litigator Kenneth Cesta has joined Carlton Fields in Short Hills as a member in the firm’s property and casualty insurance group.
Cesta joins from Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas LLP, where he was a partner since 2017. He joins the five-lawyer property and casualty insurance group that opened Carlton Fields’ office in January from Florham Park firm Bressler, Amery & Ross P.C.
“We are thrilled to have Ken join our nationally recognized property and casualty insurance and litigation practices,” said Robert Novack, Carlton Fields’ New Jersey office managing shareholder, in a statement. “Ken and I have worked together a great deal in the past, and Ken is well known to our clients. He brings both insurance and litigation capabilities. He’s a terrific addition to the firm.”
Cesta brings with him more than 30 years of commercial experience in matters involving insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation, employment discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and workplace harassment. His experience also includes class action securities litigation and enforcement, commercial disputes, consumer fraud, professional liability, probate and trust litigation, and shareholder/partnership disputes.
Additionally, Cesta has been appointed on several occasions by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to serve as a Special Ethics Master in complex disciplinary actions brought by N.J. Office of Attorney Ethics.
He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
