Interim financial officer named CFO for The Vitamin Shoppe

Interim financial leader Charles Knight has assumed the role permanently at The Vitamin Shoppe Inc.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Secaucus-based nutritional product retailer announced Knight has been named executive vice president – CFO, effective May 20.
Knight assumed the role of interim CFO on April 8. He joined The Vitamin Shoppe in July of 2018 as senior vice president – chief accounting officer and corporate controller.
“As the health and wellness industry continues to evolve, The Vitamin Shoppe is transforming to meet the needs of our customers,” Knight said in a prepared statement.
Adding, “I plan to continue the Vitamin Shoppe’s commitment to a healthy balance sheet, strong financial discipline and shifting the Company’s future focus to growth, earnings and cash flow.”
According to The Vitamin Shoppe, prior to joining the company Knight served as senior vice president – corporate controller for Toys R Us Inc., where he was employed for almost three decades, from 2010 to 2018.
