Short Hills-based Investors Bank is starting 2020 with a new contest for small businesses, open to companies based in New Jersey and the Metro New York area.
The Investor’s Bank Movers & Shakers Small Business Competition will award two grand prizes from among 10 finalists in two categories: general and minority- or women-owned businesses.
Prizes, provided by Investors, WCBS Newsradio 880 and the New Jersey Devils include: $10,000 in cash from Investor’s Bank; $15,000 in advertising value on WCBS Newsradio 880; a feature in a Small Business Spotlight on WCBS; Devils corporate sponsorship assets; and a VIP experience for the winner and 15 guests at the Devils’ home-base, the Prudential Center in Newark.
The extent to which small businesses provide valuable services determines the local economy’s prosperity. We want to support this prosperity.
“Investors Bank is committed to helping small businesses grow by supporting those that share our key ideals of creativity, competitiveness, and community,” said Domenick Cama, president and chief operating officer of Investors Bank, in a prepared statement. “Small businesses are vital to the local economy. The extent to which small businesses provide valuable services determines the local economy’s prosperity. We want to support this prosperity.”
To aide that effort, Investors Head of Business Banking Mike MacIntyre said in a prepared statement that the bank recently expanded its small business banking team and has further plans to streamline its small business loan origination process with the introduction of a new, digital platform.
Finalists will all receive tickets to the June WCBS NewsRadio 880 New Jersey Business Breakfast, and be invited to an event at the Radio.com Theater.
Eligible companies will do between $2 million and $20 million in revenue and have less than 100 employees. Submissions will be accepted until Feb. 28.
