Artech Information Systems grew revenues 40 percent in 2008, and the provider of outsourced information technology services to Fortune 500 firms has no plans to slow down.

ÂThe business is out there,Â said President Ranjini Poddar, who co-founded the company Â based in the Cedar Knolls section of Hanover. ÂOur strategy is to increase our business with our current customers.Â New-client acquisition is another major focus, and the opportunity is significant: Poddar said Artech is a $200 million revenue business in an IT industry generating outsourcing revenue of $18 billion to $20 billion.

This is her third experience with a recession, Âand the third time around, you know what to do, so you come out stronger in the end,Â she said. ÂOur strategy for managing through the recession has been not to act as if we are in a recession. Â I create the mindset that the business is out there, and the only question is whether you will get it or your competitors will.Â
