Industry ReportAntenna Software, a provider of mobile enterprise solutions based in Jersey City, tops this weekÂs NJBIZ list of the fasting-growing technology firms in the state. The list is based on Deloitte & ToucheÂs 2006 New Jersey Technology Fast 50 program, which ranks companies based on five-year revenue growth.
Privately held Antenna had revenues of $61,000 in 2001 and $9.8 million in 2005, up 16,000 percent. Access Integrated Technologies ranked No. 2 on the list. The Morristown-based digital-movie software and services company had revenues of $71,000 in 2001 and $10.6 million in 2005, up 14,901 percent.
Other companies that placed within the top 10 include:
FirstTek Technologies in North Brunswick, an IT firm, ranked No. 3 with $13.4 million in revenue in 2005, up 9,977 percent from 2001.
Vaptech in Edison, also an IT company, ranked No. 4 with $5 million in revenue in 2005, up 9,706 percent from 2001.
GAIN Capital Group in Bedminster, a provider of foreign exchange trading services, ranked No. 8 with $38 million in revenue in 2005, up 1,748 percent from 2001.
Companies within the top 10 contributed more than $150 million in revenue to the stateÂs economy in 2005, according to Deloitte.
Other companies that made the list:
Audible in Newark, a provider of spoken entertainment and information via the Internet. It ranked No. 20 with $61.3 million in revenue in 2005, up 722 percent from 2001.
Universal Display in Ewing, a maker of flexible electronic displays, ranked No. 21 with $10.1 million in revenue in 2005, up 710 percent from 2001.
Cognizant Technology Solutions in Teaneck, an IT-outsourcing company, ranked No. 29 with $886 million in revenue in 2005, up 398 percent from 2001.
Overall, New Jersey had more companies on the Technology Fast 500 list, a total of 38, than neighboring states New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Connecticut.
