Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins PC announced July 20 James Burden and Peter Draper joined the firm’s Employment Law Group in its Voorhees office.
James Burden joined the employment law group as of counsel. He is a civil trial lawyer with over 25 years of experience, focused primarily on employment law.
Burden has successfully litigated for clients in both state and federal trial courts as well as in the appellate division, and has several reported decisions in the area of employment law including: Nardello v. Township of Voorhees; Warner/Hancock v. Oaklyn; Gerety v. A.C. Hilton; Owens v. Feign, et al.; and Herman v. Coastal Corp.
Burden has argued as amicus for NELA NJ, an organization of trial lawyers dedicated to defending the rights of New Jersey employees, resulting in a reported decision in Calabotta v. Phibro Animal Health Corp.
Burden is joined in the employment law group by Peter Draper, an associate with a decade of experience representing plaintiffs in employment-related matters including pregnancy discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination, disability discrimination, sexual harassment claims, whistle blower actions, and wage and hour violations.
