A Jersey City law firm has moved from a co-working space into its first office, it told NJBIZ on Friday. The Law Office of Patel & Soltis has leased 1,500 square feet at 574 Newark Ave. in the city, moving from the Indiegrove workspace at 121 Newark Ave.
“Our new location coincides with our expanded pro bono efforts and bringing on a winter class of interns who are all licensed attorneys in their home countries who are working toward licensure,” partner Derek J. Soltis said in a prepared statement.
The full-service law firm, which specializes in foreclosure defense, loan modification, bankruptcy, trust and estates, and immigration, as well as real estate closings, indicated that its new space is located across the street from Hudson County’s William Brennan Courthouse and near the Journal Square terminal.
“We gave careful consideration to selecting this location,” partner Veer P. Patel said in a statement. “We wanted our clients to have a convenient and easy way to get to our office. Many of our clients are facing legal and economic challenges, and getting to our office should not be an additional burden to them.”
The firm, which was founded in 2013, handled the leasing in-house, it told NJBIZ.
