A Jersey Shore luxury development is celebrating the sale of its first penthouse suite.
On Tuesday, Asbury Ocean Club Surfside Resort and Residences said the premium apartment sold for $5 million.
Following it’s opening this summer, Asbury Ocean Club said it expects to fill 25 percent of the building, which includes a boutique hotel on the fourth floor, by the end of 2020.
Featuring one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, Asbury Ocean Club is part of iStar’s 10-year, multi-billion dollar redevelopment plan at the beach town’s waterfront.
“Asbury Park has arrived. As one of the most talked about, trend-setting destinations in the Northeast, the city’s rich history and commitment to art, culture and music has become evident on an international scale,” said Jodi Stasse, senior managing director of Corcoran Sunshine, which leads the project’s sales and marketing team. “Asbury Ocean Club offers both a tranquil resort setting and a vibrant city energy with restaurants, concerts and shops just steps away from the property.”
