Belmar-based Joe’s Bagel & Grill is opening a location in Marlboro and a second outlet in Toms River, bringing the total number stores to 11.
Amy Staats, vice president at Katz & Associates, is the exclusive broker representing the franchisor.
Joe’s Bagel & Grill was founded by Russell Grabow in 2016 with its first restaurant in West Long Branch. In addition to that town and Toms River, eateries are located in Sea Girt, Manasquan, Belmar, Point Pleasant, Brick, Beachwood and Cliffwood. The menu includes hand rolled and boiled bagels, breakfast sandwiches, omelets, wide variety of lunch items, coffee and catering.
With a background in contracting and construction, Grabow is able to work with a variety of sites and building types. The Marlboro space is a former Dunkin’ Donuts and other locations include a former gas station, an in-line space and an end-cap space. Staats said she is working with three franchisees seeking additional locations. The operators are seeking 1,500-2,500 square feet, mainly in Ocean and Monmouth counties. Second generation space is preferred, but they are open to other viable options.
“It’s been incredible working with Russell Grabow and the franchisees to help Joe’s Bagel & Grill expand along throughout Jersey shore towns and beyond,” Staats said in a statement. “My real estate expertise and knowledge of viable retail opportunities in the market coupled with Russell’s background and his willingness to consider non-traditional spaces has really been a great combination.”
