Holy Name Medical Center announced on Friday the appointment of Jean Jordan to the position of vice president of oncology services at the Patricia Lynch Cancer Center and Breast Center at Holy Name Medical Center.
“We are thrilled to have Jean lead our oncology services teams during an exciting time for growth,” said Michael Maron, president and chief executive officer of Holy Name in a statement.
According to Maron, Jordan will be working closely with all members of the Patricia Lynch Cancer Center team, the Breast Center, Holy Name’s physician network, and other members of the medical staff to provide leadership, vision, strategic direction, and integration for Holy Name’s continuum of oncology services.
“[Jean] will oversee all the Cancer Center’s administrative and financial responsibilities with a goal toward expanding services and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality, safe, innovative, and compassionate cancer care,” Maron said.
Jordan held various positions on Memorial Sloan Kettering’s senior management team, where she most recently served as senior director for the Department of Medicine in hospital administration.
“Holy Name is entering into a new era of cancer care,” said Jordan. “We are leveraging the talent of top physicians, participating in unique clinical trials, and collaborating with national and local organizations to provide an experience that rivals what you’d expect from some of the world’s most prominent cancer centers,” she concluded.
In addition to her positions at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Jordan also held management positions at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and was an associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers early in her career.
