On the heels of an announcement at the end of January for the opening of a new branch, Kearny Bank began February with the appointment of a vice president operating out of its corporate office in Fairfield.
Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer Greg Acunto will assist clients through management, and advising on, capital needs, the bank said Feb. 5.
“As an organization, we’re always focused on meeting and then exceeding client expectations,” Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer Patrick Joyce said in a prepared statement. “Given Greg’s professional background, I’m confident he’ll help Kearny Bank’s clients achieve the level of success they’re seeking, and ensure they’re at ease with their financial decisions.”
Acunto most recently served as vice president and business development relationship manager at Capital One, Kearny said; he brings nearly 20 years of finance, banking and lending experience to the new position.
An ‘everyone’s welcome’ vibe
At Kearny’s new, North Bergan branch, Edna Rios serves as assistant vice president, retail relationship manager, the bank said, leading sales development, operations, client experience, and providing training and development to the office’s team members.
“North Bergen is a uniquely vibrant community, and as a resident of the immediate area, I’m very excited to be working here,” Rios said in a statement. “The town has a distinct, ‘everyone’s welcome’ vibe, and my goal is to ensure clients have that feeling every time they enter our branch.”
With more than 30 years of banking experience, Rios most recently served as vice president and market manager for Valley Bank, according to Kearny. She is a member of the local Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hudson Chamber of Commerce.
The branch will celebrate its grand opening throughout February with giveaways, weekly prize drawings and more.
