Kearny Bank Foundation donated $200,000 to eight critical care institutions and charities in six different New Jersey counties during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our home state’s health care professionals have been battling this outbreak for weeks, and we’re doing what we can to bolster their efforts,” said Kearny Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Craig Montanaro in a prepared statement. “Every one of us has a stake in this fight.”

Unionville Vineyards in East Amwell is donating all profits from its Dry Riesling sales in April and May to support front line health care workers by purchasing them lunch and other requested items.

Since the initiative was announced on social media last week, Unionville has sold 20 cases of wine and raised nearly $2,000. Meals are purchased from local restaurants.

According to General Manager John Cifelli, Unionville lost one of its tasting room associates to COVID-19 in early March.

Unionville wines are available for purchase online or over the phone at 908-788-0400 ext. 2. Contactless pickup is available in East Amwell and in New Hope, Pa.; and free shipping is available for folks in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or New York that buy six or more bottles of wine.
