Lehigh Hills, a new luxury rental community in Upper Macungie, Pa., is now open for leasing.

The project is located at 1400 Nursery Street and offers a collection of 273 well-appointed residences, development partners Kushner Real Estate Group and The Silverman Group said on Nov. 29. Monthly rents start from $1,975 for one-bedroom apartments and $2,250 for two-bedroom floorplans. Initial occupancy is scheduled for mid-January 2022.

“We are excited to start leasing residences at Lehigh Hills, a community that embraces everything that makes the Lehigh Valley special,” said KRE President Jonathan Kushner. “Upper Macungie is the perfect location for residents looking for a well-connected, suburban environment with key lifestyle conveniences and easy access to Allentown and regional employment centers. We’re proud to introduce a modern residential option to the township and we look forward to welcoming our first residents.”

A variety of one- and two-bedroom residences in seven mid-rise buildings are designed to offer residents the best in contemporary living. Modern kitchens are equipped with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. All apartments include a washer & dryer, luxury vinyl tile flooring, large closets, ceiling fans, central AC, gas heat, cable ready connections and tile flooring in the bathrooms.

In addition, a centrally located clubhouse will serve as a gathering place, with amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga room, lounge areas, a conference room and a screening/gaming room. Outside, residents will have access to a variety of outdoor relaxation and recreation spaces, including a swimming pool, landscaped outdoor terrace with fire pit, sun loungers, BBQ grills and seating areas, a tot lot and a dog park. Additional conveniences include a mailbox pavilion, package lockers, on-site parking, a dog wash room and maintenance services.

A nearby retail center includes a supermarket and a variety of eateries. And Upper Macungie Park, a 156-acre recreational facility with athletic fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, disc golf and a vista peak overlooking a quarry, is less than two-tenths of a mile away. The entrance to Route 78 and Route 22 is just one mile from the community, and Route 476 is nearby, connecting to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Downtown Allentown is about a 20-minute drive away. Other easily accessible attractions include downtown Bethlehem, Muhlenberg College, Moravian College, Lehigh University, and Wind Creek Bethlehem Casino Resort.

Lehigh Hills is the fourth Pennsylvania collaboration for Jersey City-based KRE Group and Basking Ridge-based Silverman. The firms previously developed Madison Farms, a 100-acre mixed-use apartment and retail complex in Bethlehem Township, as well as Spring View in Allentown and Parkland View in Breinigsville.
