The Long Branch oceanfront residential, retail and recreational destination Pier Village is rounding out its tenant roster with the signing of three new leases.
Gavone’s, Sundae Donuts and Doggie Sweets are all scheduled to open at The Shops at Pier Village by Memorial Day 2022, Kushner announced on Jan. 11.
“Attracting dynamic and upscale retail experiences has always been at the heart of our plan to create an incomparable oceanfront community at Pier Village,” said Kushner’s Nicole Kushner Meyer. “We are pleased to welcome these new businesses to The Shops at Pier Village as they will augment the already robust lineup of dining, retail and entertainment businesses calling the property home and further cement its standing as New Jersey’s ‘City by the Sea.'”

Gavone’s is a new concept from the operators of Italian restaurant Sirena, which has been a tenant at the property since its opening in 2006. The new, 1,700-square-foot lease will deliver an elevated fast-casual pasta restaurant at the property.
Sundae Donuts’ 1,690-square-foot agreement marks its entrance to the Garden State; the sweets purveyor currently has four locations on Long Island.
In another first, Doggie Sweets’ 1,264-square-foot lease is the mobile business’s first standalone dog café and retail store.
In September, Kushner enlisted Pierson Commercial to serve as exclusive retail leasing agent for The Shops at Pier Village.
“These three new leases … as well as the strong commitment from operators like McLoone’s Restaurants speaks to the continued appeal of Pier Village to unique retail concepts looking to tap into the energy that defines the property and the over 2.3 million people who visit it each year,” said Pierson Commercial Director Ryan Starkman.
In the fall, McLoone’s Restaurants concept Kahuna Burger leased 2,500 square feet at The Shops at Pier Village. It’s the third offering from McLoone’s to open at the destination.
“With strong local demographics and an unmatched location, Pier Village stands out among retail destinations in the state,” Starkman said. “We look forward to announcing several additional exciting retail leases over the next couple of months.”
